Susan Sturgill, Executive Director, began her journey with Wilkes Pregnancy Care Center in the fall of 1996 as a member of the Board of Directors. She served on the Board for 7 years before joining the staff as Assistant Director in 2003. During this time as Assistant Director, Susan went back to school and earned her Bachelor's Degree in Human Services from Gardner Webb University. By September, 2009, she became the Executive Director.
Susan is passionate about helping women understand the importance of their choices regarding the life of the unborn. While an advocate for life, her greatest desire is for women who have chosen to abort in the past, come to a place of peace and forgiveness. This is offered through a 13 week Bible study that walks women through the healing process.
Susan is the wife of Claude Sturgill, Member of the VFW Honor Guard in North Wilkesboro, mother of two grown children and grandmother to four beautiful grandbabies.

My husband and I recently celebrated 19 years of marriage, and together we have two children, Austin 18, and 8 yr. old Katie. We are a close knit family that enjoys spending time together. I am a Wilkes Community College graduate earning my Associates Degree in Nursing. I have been a R.N. for 11 years, working 5 of those years on a fast paced medical/surgical floor at Iredell Memorial Hospital. After the birth of my daughter, I began praying for God’s direction concerning my career. I am honored to say He led me here and in March of 2012 I joined the staff of Wilkes Pregnancy Center. I am blessed to be a small part of such an amazing organization.
Kendall joined the WPCC staff in May 2019 and is a recent graduate of ASU with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Development.
